Join Us for the ISSA Qur’an Competition
Saturday, May 16 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Youth Ages 5–18 | Adult Ages 18 & Up
This gathering welcomes all and aims to nurture a love for the Qur’an in both youth (ages 5–18) and adults (ages 18 & up). While medals and prizes will be awarded to all participants, the greatest reward is the knowledge, guidance, and spiritual growth gained through it.
Narrated by Aisha (RA), the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Such a person as recites the Qur’an and masters it by heart will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person who exerts himself to learn the Qur’an by heart and recites it with difficulty will have a double reward.”

Competition Details
Each participant may choose one or two surahs to recite from memory within their assigned age group.
Participants may also choose a surah outside their assigned list if preferred.
🎈 Elementary School (Ages 5–10)
📖 Al-Fatiha, An-Nas, Al-Falaq, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Masad, An-Nasr, Al-Kafiroon, Al-Kawthar, Al-Ma'un, Al-Quraish, Al-Fil, Al-Humaza, Al-Asr
🎯 Middle School (Ages 11–13)
📖 At-Takathur, Al-Qaria, Al-Adiyat, Al-Zalzala, Al-Bayyina, Al-Qadr, Al-Alaq, At-Tin, Ash-Sharh, Ad-Duha, Al-Lail, Ash-Shams
🏆 High School (Ages 14–18)
📖 Al-Balad, Al-Fajr, Al-Ghashiya, Al-Ala, At-Tariq, Al-Burooj, Al-Inshiqaq, Al-Mutaffifin, Al-Infitar, At-Takwir, Abasa, Al-Nazi’at, Al-Naba
🕌 Adults (Ages 18 & Up)
✨ Participants may recite any surah of their choice.

and make the Qur’an a light in our hearts, our homes, and our lives.
