The Islamic Society of the Seacoast Area is located 60 miles north of Boston, MA, nestled in the beautiful towns along the Atlantic Ocean coastline of New Hampshire and southern Maine. The Society was formed in 1994 and incorporated in 1997 under ISNA (the Islamic Society of North America). In 2004, ISSA was officially registered with the State of New Hampshire as an independent and non-profit organization. Our Community consists of a diverse group of Muslims that hail from many parts of the world. The Community also includes Muslim students at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. The seacoast area has an estimated population of over 300 Muslim families. The area known as the seacoast has experienced a steady economic growth.

January 2008

New Students at UNH:
Good number of new Muslim students started this fall at the University of New Hampshire, Durham. Please note that some of them are in need of transportation from Durham to the Masjid in Dover. Let us know if you can help.

Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility:
Muslim inmates at the State Prison in Berlin NH are in need of a volunteer from the Muslim Community to conduct Jumu'ah services. Please let us know if you can assist.
